Giving Back to Real Pets
Our on-screen pets have plenty to say. We want to help real pets get noticed, too.
Alongside Pet Support Group, we’re helping rescue shelters showcase adoptable animals through talking pet videos—bringing their personalities and stories to life so people can connect with a pet who needs a home.
Since these animals can’t tell you their stories themselves, we’re helping give them a voice.
What to Expect When You Sponsor a Pet:
We work with rescue shelters to select a pet who has been waiting for a home, then create a talking adoption video that brings their personality and story to life. We also add the pet to our database to help them get noticed.
Your name as requested will appear on the pet’s listing in our database. You’ll receive a social media image that you can use to spread awareness for the pet you sponsored, as well as a digital thank-you card featuring the pet you sponsored, along with a link to their listing so you can follow their adoption status.
Your sponsorship funds the creative work behind their video, giving a real pet another chance to connect with a potential adopter.

Scott Barrett is a creative director who works at the intersection of narrative, systems design, and real-time technology. Scott leads teams through concept development, prototyping, iteration, and polish—building experiences where story, gameplay, and visual tone support one another with clarity and emotional resonance.
Scott’s background spans games, transmedia, and cinematic storytelling. Scott has led creative efforts that blend worldbuilding, character-driven narrative, and experimental gameplay with modern pipelines in UE5 and Unity. Scott collaborates closely with external developers, providing integrated feedback across design, narrative, art, audio, and UX to help teams meet tone, quality, and player-experience targets. Scott values the strategy behind this work as much as the creative execution: evaluating pitches, aligning vision with technical realities, supporting long-term roadmap decisions, and identifying opportunities that strengthen both products and partnerships.
Scott has also worked in adjacent spaces that keep his creative instincts sharp. Most recently, Scott partnered with an arcade manufacturer to design new game cabinets and modernize retro game concepts in collaboration with legacy IP owners. This included visual direction, gameplay refinement, and advising on broader creative and market strategy—a reminder that innovation often comes from unexpected platforms.
Kerry Kirkpatrick is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker who brings stories to life through art and technology. From digital painting to games and AI-assisted films, Kerry combines hands-on creativity with a love of experimentation.
Kerry’s recent projects extend her creative foundation into filmmaking and game development. Using Unreal Engine, Blender, and other industry standard tools, Kerry develops characters, environments, and assets for cinematic storytelling and interactive experiences.
For filmmaking, Kerry combines traditional artistic skills and judgment with AI-assisted production tools. The workflow moves from concept development and character design through shot creation, animation, editing, and refinement. Particular attention goes to character consistency and spatial continuity so that individual shots work together as a coherent story. DaVinci Resolve supports the finishing process through editing, color grading, sound, and editing short films and vertical social content.
Across films and games, Kerry approaches technology as part of an iterative creative process: developing ideas, testing possibilities, and refining the details that shape an audience’s experience. Projects such as Pet Support Group bring together character-driven storytelling with highly cinematic visuals.
FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
-
The first episode of Pet Support Group was entirely self-funded by our team. We still have more stories to tell, which can only come to life with further help from crowdfunding. Our first 10 minute Pet Support Group film cost about $700 in production related credits. With your help, we can bring the next installment of Pet Support Group to life.
-
Your membership gives you everything listed (such as behind the scenes info) in the basic, reoccurring membership. Any other add-ons come with a completely separate reward for backing our project.
-
This is not automatically included with the monthly or yearly membership. If this is something you want, you will need to select it separately.
-
As soon as you make your purchase, you should receive a link in your order confirmation that says you can submit your Pet’s info here. It will take you to a form where you can fill in all of the required information. If you have not received it within 24 hours, please reach out to us via the contact form on this site.
-
A pet appearance is simply where your pet is part of the Pet Support Group circle, but does not speak at all. It may lick its paw, spin around, do a little dance, or something else. But it does not have any lines. However, if you pay for the tier that does include a speaking part, your pet will take a more active role in the story.
-
Production time varies depending on what funding allows. We can guarantee that your scene with your pet can be completed within 2 months of submission, while their final appearance in the completed film may not be until 4-6 months after purchase depending on where things are in the production pipeline.
-
The VIP meet and greet is a 15 minute video call with Scott & Kerry where they will present the drafted portion of the script where your pet talks. You can ask questions and offer suggestions. While we ultimately have the final say, we are open to ideas and may accommodate your request when possible. Believe us, we crack jokes all day, but a lot of them never see the light of day. That’s just show business, baby.
-
The credit itself won’t give you ownership, profits, creative control, or a job on future films. But it will put your name nice and big in the credits—and recognize your role in helping us bring the film to life. Other benefits are listed in the package above.
Your support helps cover the tools, production costs, and creative work behind the scenes. It gives us more room to experiment, refine our shots, and tell stories we’re proud to share. You’ll be part of the film’s story, with an Executive Producer credit that says you helped make it happen.

Our films begin with us: our ideas, scripts, character designs, and creative decisions. We use a mix of traditional digital tools and AI-assisted tools to create images and animate scenes, then carefully review, revise, and edit them into a story. From camera choices and lighting to pacing, color, and sound, we shape the details ourselves. The technology helps us bring our vision to the screen; the storytelling, judgment, and care come from the people behind it.
